Lymphatic Drainage
Lymphatic drainage is a very light handed technique that encourages the body's lymphatic system to drain excess fluid from the tissues at about twice its typical speed. It is wonderful pre and post surgery to reduce swelling and scar tissue. Apart from increasing lymph flow, lymph drainage has a pain relieving effect and can be used to treat recent trauma such as sports injuries.
In a one hour session typically two areas can be treated. In a one and a half hour session typically three areas can be treated. In two hour session typically four to five areas can be treated.

Cancer Care/Hospice Massage
This type of massage does not medically treat cancer or any hospice condition, rather it is meant as pain relieving support during a physically uncomfortable time. The goal of the session is not to "cure" to reduce suffering. The technique is relaxing and slow and can be a wonderful way for a client to reconnect with themselves. Client mobility is not a requirement. This massage can be performed in a bed/hospital bed or chair/wheelchair. The initial session is 45 min, but with continued client/caretaker feedback can be adjusted shorter or longer.
